Sue Dewing is a caring, friendly, professional Independent UK Celebrant,
conducting ceremonies for Love, Life and Loss.

Independant Celebrant - Sue Dewing

Sue is professionally trained by and a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants.  She can deliver exceptional advice, guidance and support. As a former Registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages she has extensive knowledge and a wealth of experience of the legal formalities required prior to your wedding ceremony. Having become frustrated at the level of restrictions placed on wedding couples or families wanting to celebrate the arrival of a new-born baby or adopted member of the family within their own home or gardens for example, she wanted to offer so much more freedom of choice.

Sue is not a Humanist Celebrant, she is an Independent one. The difference means that an Independent Celebrant works with you to include anything you want as part of your ceremony, including religious readings and content should you wish.

Sue will guide you along your exciting journey and you can be rest assured you will be in the safest of hands.

Testimonials

We would like to say a huge thank you to Sue for our beautiful wedding service. You made our wedding not only a day we won’t forget but special and emotional service. This was something that was new to us as we haven’t heard of it before. But we are so happy we made the decision to have you. Without any doubt, we would recommend you to everyone. All our wedding guests wished they had had you to marry them at their wedding. You said everything with real emotion and your hidden tissues was well needed 🙂 We really can’t thank you enough for our wonderful and perfect day.  Amy & Joanne

“Sue conducted our wedding last year in August 2016 on a red double-decker bus in Hunstanton next to the beach, she made it special with all the planning she made sure everything was just as we wanted, she made it a pleasurable experience and was lovely to work with. Why have ordinary when you can do something extra special on your big day.” Steven & Naomie

“Sue conducted my cousins’ wedding ceremony at Hinchingbrooke House and I can honestly say I have never been to a wedding where the celebrant was so genuinely sincere. Sue went the extra mile to make the official part of the wedding very personal and as a result even more special. I would recommend Sue in a heartbeat. Polite and professional are just the tip of the iceberg.” Thank you, Sue. X  Emma

“I cannot recommend Sue highly enough. Our wedding was so personal and tailor made to us which was exactly what we had hoped for. If you want a unique, personal wedding then this really is the person to book. The service is exceptional and I will always treasure the transcript of our wedding. Booking Sue made our wedding and I can never thank her enough. I’m so pleased I stumbled across you at a random wedding fair that I had no intention of attending… fate!  Gemma & Neil

“Sue conducted our wedding in May 2016. She made it very personal to us and engaging for all our guests. It wasn’t just a formality, it was the most amazing part of our 12 hour day and that was down to the way it was conducted. Sue wanted to add her own reading into the service for us. She didn’t have to do this and it wasn’t part of the normal service proceedings. It was a little-added extra that completed the ceremony perfectly. We’ve been to a couple of weddings in the past year and as nice as they were they didn’t have the personal touch that ours did. It genuinely made a difference to us. Thank you so much, Sue for all your wonderful words on the most amazing day of our lives.” Rachael & Max

“Dear Sue. Thank you so much for everything on the day and leading up to the memorial service. You helped make a tough time much more manageable and deliver the kind of service that felt just right. Best wishes” – James

“I recommend Sue Dewing as a celebrant without hesitation. She made our wedding ceremony special and personal. Sue met with us beforehand and explained everything, put our minds at rest and ensured our ceremony was flawless. Sue coped brilliantly when a very warm day caused a few hot guests! I always thought of the ceremony as the most nerve racking part of a wedding but it was a real pleasure with Sue presiding. All of my guests remarked how special Sue made our wedding. Looking back she was the most important piece of the jigsaw that made our perfect day. You will not regret Sue being your celebrant, whatever the occasion.” –  Jo & Debs Gale-Hawkes
